yo
Its pretty crazy that i haven’t been on here in forever. I’ve been busy and just haven’t thought about it. I’ve been in Colorado for over a month now. I really like it here. One thing I really need to make time for is writing more music though. Lately I just work and sleep. haha. No joke.

So today I decided to take a trip to Flagstaff. I hit up a music store, two thrift shops and a music store that had vinyl. The out come was finding three albums. Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits, Bob Dylan “planet waves” and James Taylor LP. I’m pretty happy about these finds. I found some more awesome LP’s at the thrift stores. However, I chose not to get them because they were in poor condition… lots of scratches and warped vinyl. I also got to hit of chipotle. So many people were there. same idea i guess. Pretty successful day none the less.

Well I finished school. Have the Associates of Arts now. Just need to get that paper. I’ve been working on music lately, exploring new ideas. I’m planning on incorporating more harmonica in my music. I built a harmonica holder today. Works pretty damn good.

Poms and Nathan
I headed to Phoenix yesterstraw. Met Nathan and the Pomegranates for dinner. Had a lot of fun and made a few new friends. My new friends include: Joey, Isaac, jake and Curt. I mesh really well with these guys. Sweet Tomatos was the destinash for our meal. I was pretty impressed with it. I really liked all the Salads and soups and bread i ate. My favorite salad was the manderin chicken. so good!! And the tomatoe and basil soup was a great rendish accompanied by parmesan bread I’m getting kinda hungry writing this part. haha. This was a really great time. I hadn’t seen my bro-hammer for probably since Christmas of last year. Huggs embraced and laughs made. After dinner we headed to the venue: Hard Rock Cafe. Let me just say that this venue sucks!! I could blame it purely on the venue and the setup, or maybe say that the crowd from the weezy show across the street wasn’t giving a great vibe. ANywhoo, the Pomegranates kicked a lot of ass!! I was really impressed. I really enjoyed their music, but i was amazing how great they sounded live. Made me throw down a little groove to their tunes. They played new songs too which i really enjoyed. After the show I got to hangout more with the band and Nathan at the Hotel. It was pretty lo key and i would say a huge success. I would like to break bread with them again soon. I still miss you bro.

Life in the Now
Lets talk about some recent sh*& thats been going on. Well I was doing really well. I was playing a fun heated game of basketball on sunday when I jumped like four feet up to claim a nice rebound. Little would i know, but a fraction of a second later poop would get real. What happened next, my right foot hit the ground uneven forcing my ankle to meet the pavement. A millisecond later i heard a loud pop. I found out later that the sound i just heard was my tendons tearing, snapping like rubber bands giving off that nice sound of a beercan being crushed. I instantly examined myself believing that i just done in my ankle. I thought i broke my bloody ankle. While the pain was starting to gather, I found myself praying and asking God to touch my ankle and heal it. While this was going on, a crowd started to accumulate and people began asking questions as to if I was going to be alright. Long story short, my severe sprain also destroyed the game. That was sunday around 5:30. Since then, this week has been a big change for me. I haven’t been able to go to any classes and i’ve been mostly in a non mobile state. My days mostly consist of me sitting in a recliner with my foot propped up on half a dozen pillows and wrapped in ice. Do i have any regrets in playing basketball on sunday? YEah right!! I had a lot of fun. I just hope that my ankle heals up quickly and strong. I’m believing for that. I also want to finish that basketball game. Thats a little update. Till next time, This is Bryan De Ceasar signing off. haha
